I took a train from Bratislava to Vienna, where I changed stations and trains to reach Hallstatt. While Hallstatt was beautiful, I preferred Zell am See, which I used as a base for visits to the big waterfall at Krimml, and the shrinking glacier reached by the Grossglockner road.
